What's nice is that you can then update everything installed through cask with a single command. Looks like MPE crashes on High Sierra when you try to open it: borkbrick /Applications/MPlayer OSX Extended.app/Contents/MacOS 22:02. This OS is more than 6 months old and the developers don’t care about making Perioan work on it. I use homebrew cask for a lot of installations.
